In Niue: Day Two

With the fans going through the night, getting to sleep was easy after a long day of travel. In the morning we were welcomed with a cooked breakfast, by Glen (our designated chef) and fresh coconuts. Although, he was making do with what we had, considering we had a few food spillages on the trip over.
To kick things off for the project officially, we had a meeting with all the people who we indicated as being part of our project locally. Everyone was so welcoming of our project, and thinking of ways to help and get involved. We couldn’t have asked for a better set of locals to be working alongside with.
Once the morning activities were finished and lunch was consumed, Hele and I got our 15 minutes of fame on Niue News. We were interviewed about our project, implementation and just about our team in general. Pretty crazy, but I think we nailed it... After some hard work this morning we treated ourselves to some spectacular snorkelling and a nice cool off from the 27-degree heat sun and watching the sunset over Limu Pools was a great way to wind down before dinner.
